On 15 November 2025, PAX HIGHER INSTITUTE Bamunka-Ndop marked a defining milestone in its history with the Inauguration Mass and Matriculation Ceremony, an event that formally ushered the institution into its academic and formative mission. The celebration brought together the Church, academia, state representatives, local authorities, and the wider community in a profound expression of faith, unity, and shared commitment to education.
The day began with a solemn Eucharistic celebration, setting a strong spiritual foundation for the life and mission of PAXHI. Through prayer and reflection, the Mass invoked God’s guidance and blessings upon the institution, its leadership, staff, and students, affirming education as a vocation rooted in service, discipline, and moral integrity.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of eminent leaders of the Catholic Church. Notably present were His Grace, Archbishop Andrew Nkea, Archbishop of Bamenda, and His Grace, The Most Reverend José Avelino Bettencourt, the Apostolic Nuncio to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, representing the Holy Father. Their participation underscored the universal Church’s support for the vision of PAXHI and highlighted the importance of faith-based education in shaping responsible and ethical leaders.
Adding to the significance of the occasion was the presence of state officials, local administrative authorities, and other invited dignitaries, whose attendance reflected strong governmental and community support for the establishment of the institution. Following the Mass, the ceremony continued with the matriculation of the pioneer students, formally welcoming them into the PAXHI academic family.
